Discretely stiffened thermoelastic shells

The general theory of discretely stiffened thermoelastic shells was developed (1965 - 1970) [1, 2, 4] and applied to the following practical problems: the calculation of the high-pressure water turbine scroll of Nurek hydropower station [3] and of the vacuum chamber of the thermonuclear Tokamak 20 Panel [5].

There was proposed (1966) a variant of the Steklov-Fubini method for differential equations, whose coefficients have singularities of δ-function type. The method allowed to find the solution in an explicit form for the problem of axisymmetric deformation of a discretely stiffened cylindrical shell [6].
